Mission Statement
The Rockwall Fencing Academy is an organization designed to train athletes in the sport of fencing. Fencing allows us to train the whole athlete, developing not only strength, but flexibility, balance, reflexes, mental awareness and sportsmanship.
History of RFA
Rockwall Fencing Academy was started in August 2005 by owners Cindy Gregory, Marvin Gregory, and Steve Arze. Based at Rockwall Indoor Sports Expo, RFA grew out of the previous fencing school that had dissolved.
Coaching Staff
Coach Andrew Gregory is our head coach and is certified in Level 2 Sabre and Level 1 Foil by the United States Fencing Association (USFA). Coach Andrew is also certified in CPR/AED for Adult and Child, Sport Safety Training, is an active member of the United States Fencing Coaches Association, and a professional member of the USFA.
Other coaches include owner/coach Dr. Steve Arze, who is certified in Level 1 Sabre, Foil, and Epee, Coach David Noble, certified in Level 1 Sabre, and our beginners’ coach Blair Clarke.
Our certified coaches were trained at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs during the USFA’s annual Coaches College.
